Andrews Kurth Names Hong Irwin Partner
August 11, 2006HOUSTON – Andrews Kurth announced that Hong Irwin became a Partner in the firm as of July 1.
Hong's practice focuses on the acquisition of international oil and gas properties, project finance — including upstream and downstream — and mergers and acquisitions. She is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions section and is chief representative for the Beijing office.
“Hong’s admission to our partnership is well deserved. She’s done a great job representing our firm in China,” said Managing Partner Howard Ayers. “We recognize and commend her dedication to leading and managing our efforts there.”
The Beijing office provides logistic and personnel support for the firm’s China-based clients and other clients with business in China, and also facilitates marketing, referral and liaison activities in the region.
A number Andrews Kurth clients are Chinese companies with offices in Beijing and Hong Kong, including Sinopec, China Oilfield Services Limited and Asia Frize Ltd.
