Bankruptcy and Corporate Securities Partners Join A&K, 8 Associates Also Added in 5 Practices
May 31, 2000HOUSTON -- Andrews & Kurth announced today that Peter D`Apice and Michael B. Thimmig have joined the firm as partners in the Dallas office. The firm has also added experience and depth to its bankruptcy, business transactions, corporate and securities, environmental and antitrust practices with additions to its Houston, Dallas and Washington, D. C. offices.
D`Apice has a bankruptcy practice with a focus on litigation, and brings with him, experience in general commercial litigation, RICO, products liability, False Claims Act, insurance coverage, personal injury, medical malpractice, trademark issues, securities litigation, white-collar criminal defense and corporate compliance issues. He is a graduate of Iona University and received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
Thimmig has a corporate and securities practice, with an emphasis in asset securitization and mortgage banking transactions. He was previously with Andrews & Kurth as a partner in the Dallas office in 1997. He is a graduate from Marquette University and received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law.
Joining D`Apice in the bankruptcy practice in the Dallas office as an associate is Mark E. Burge He is a graduate of the University of Houston and received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
Three associates have joined the firm`s business transactions practice. Roger A. Rippy is in the business transactions practice in the Houston office, he is a graduate of Texas A&M University and received his J.D. from The University of Houston Law Center. Adrian E. "Bud" Doxey is in the business transactions practice in the Dallas office, he is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law. Also in the business transactions practice in the firm`s Dallas office is Marc S. Jacobs who is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
