Andrews & Kurth Environmental Associate Elected President-Elect for the Houston Asian American Bar Association

HOUSTON -- Patricia E. Lin has been elected as president-elect of the Asian American Bar Association of Houston for 2002 and will serve as the organization’s president in 2003. Lin is an associate in the environmental group of Andrews & Kurth’s Houston office, where she has practiced since 1998. She has served on the Asian American Bar Association’s board of directors and has chaired the ‘large firm section.

Lin’s practice focuses on environmental issues and includes experience in federal and state compliance and enforcement matters, voluntary cleanup projects, Superfund litigation, environmental permitting, state board of health negotiations, and energy sector and real estate transactions. She is also currently participating in advanced research projects concerning the role of public infrastructure agencies in major river and harbor remediation projects.

She is a 1998 graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, (with honors), and was an associate editor of The Review of Litigation and a member of the Order of Barristers. She holds a B.A. from Rice University in Biology and English. She is licensed by the State Bar of Texas, and in addition to her Asian American Bar Association membership, she is also is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
