November 21, 2007The Woodlands, Texas
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Woodlands Office Managing Partner of Andrews Kurth, Craig Stahl, announced today the firm will donate $2,500 to Interfaith of The Woodlands. The donation was made on behalf of the firm’s clients and in recognition of the charity’s ongoing efforts to serve hungry children and adults in The Woodlands and Montgomery County area. The office will also provide food donations collected during its two week food drive along with the financial contribution.
“We are very pleased that we were able to make this donation to Interfaith for the third year in a row,” said Stahl. “Interfaith’s Food Pantry does a great job of providing food to thousands of hungry individuals and families in The Woodlands and the surrounding area, and we are proud to be part of that effort.”
In a office-wide food drive led by Julie Stevenson, office administrator, more than 150 food items were collected and donated to Interfaith.
“We had great participation from everyone in the office,” said Stevenson. “In addition to posters and flyers, we emailed the staff and attorneys with regular updates to keep the food drive top of mind. Knowing that it was going to feed hungry children during the holidays made it all the more special.”
Interfaith of The Woodlands distributes a wide variety of donated items:
- Cash/Checks
- Non-perishable food
- Infant products including diapers and formula
- Personal hygiene items
- Paper products and cleaning supplies
- Gift Certificates to area grocery stores (small increments)
“We are truly honored and delighted that The Woodlands office of Andrews Kurth selected Interfaith’s Food Pantry as its recipient,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Their generous donations will help Interfaith to provide food to individuals and families in need during the holiday season.”
