Allison's practice is focused primarily on energy regulation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, particularly involving regional transmission organizations and electric utilities.  Allison has been involved in advising energy clients on numerous issues including, resource adequacy, long term transmission rights, reliability issues, system restoration, regional transmission planning and renewable resources.  Allison has also been involved in the representation of electric utility clients on affiliate transactions, RTO/ISO compliance matters, establishing transmission revenue requirements for new transmission, securities issuances, competition/market power issues, and market-based rate authority.

Prior to her law career, Allison was a legislative aide for a Member of Congress, and later worked for a lobbying firm representing various municipalities and environmental organizations.
